A Codex Pets is a small animated companion for the Codex app. It uses a pet.json file and a sprite sheet so Codex can show different states while you work.
Open a detail page, copy the install command, and run it in your terminal. The command downloads the Codex Pets package into your local Codex Petss folder.
Yes. Each approved Codex Pets can be downloaded as a ZIP if you prefer to inspect the files or install the package manually.
A package should include pet.json plus spritesheet.webp or spritesheet.png. The recommended sheet is 1536×1872 with 9 animation rows.
Yes. Sign in, upload a folder or ZIP, and the site will preview the animation before sending your Codex Pets for review.
Review keeps the gallery useful. The site checks required files, package size, duplicate assets, and basic metadata before a Codex Pets goes live.
